Join us for Walk & Roll Wednesday!
Every Wednesday, weather permitting, we meet at 7:30 AM at the Rancho Viejo North Park Plaza under the shade structure to walk or roll to school together.
Not only is it a great way to get your wiggles out and arrive energized, walking or rolling to school builds healthy habits that strengthen bodies and minds. It helps students arrive ready to learn, sharp and alert. Plus, by reducing car traffic around our school, we enjoy cleaner air, a quieter neighborhood, and a stronger sense of community.
👉 Parents, please check in your child with Mrs. Jones or Coach Chavez at drop-off and let them know if your child will be:
Walking/rolling back to the park after school OR
Getting picked up at school
🚶♀️🚴♂️ Parents are welcome (and encouraged!) to walk or ride with us too, let’s make it a family and community event!
Let’s roll together for fun, fitness, focus, and friendship!
Reminder: If it’s got wheels, you need a helmet!

Mrs. Vigil just returned from competing in the National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa this week. The games are held every two years in a different state and city across the country. Athletes 50 years and above can qualify to go to Nationals at the New Mexico Senior Olympics, which are held every year in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Athletes can compete in different events such as running, pickleball, and corn hole to name a few. Mrs. Vigil competed in 5 running events: 10k road race, 5k road race, 1500 meter run on the track, an 800 meter dash also on the track, and a 1 mile community run. She competed against some tough competitors and did extremely well. She gained the title of National Champion in the 10k, 5k, and 1500 meters beating all her competitors. Mrs. Vigil is proud to represent Amy Biehl Community School and the wonderful state of New Mexico, she brought home 3 gold medals, a 5th place ribbon and a bronze medal from her community run. Her next big race will be in October, where she will be running the Chicago Marathon! We are so proud of you, Mrs.Vigil!! She was also featured in the Santa Fe New Mexican

Reminder! All students must have required vaccines or an approved exemption to attend school. This is especially important for Pre-K, 7th, and 12th grade students. Free immunizations are available through SFPS, with walk-in clinics on July 25, July 30, and August 6.
¡Recordatorio!

As a precautionary measure following PNM's notice of a potential power shutdown on Thursday, March 6 (due to high winds), Santa Fe Public Schools will implement the District’s inclement weather procedures and shift to a remote learning and work day. This will allow us to ensure the health and safety of all.
Additionally, we must comply with state-required instructional hours and avoid extending the school year beyond the scheduled final day of school.
Please ensure that students are prepared for remote learning tomorrow, and stay safe.
